Community Service

Willamette's motto, "Not unto ourselves alone are we born," invites you to better yourself as a scholar and a global citizen. Service permeates virtually everything at Willamette — which is why Washington Monthly ranks us 23rd in the nation for contributions to the public good. Willamette students volunteer more than 44,000 hours annually at several hundred agencies and schools.

The Office of Community Service Learning connects you with volunteer opportunities and helps you combine meaningful service experiences with thoughtful instruction and reflection. Many of our professors incorporate service learning into their classes, while numerous opportunities exist to volunteer through residence halls, campus clubs, sororities and fraternities.

Your efforts will empower you to become engaged in campus, community and global service. As you investigate other cultures and even potential careers, you will be prepared for a lifetime of public service beyond graduation.
