Welcome back, class of 1978! Our reunion weekend will be filled with friends and fun. We can reminisce not only with our class, but with our friends from ’77 and ’79 as well! It is a great opportunity to catch up with former classmates and spend time on our beloved campus.

Class of 1978 Events (’77 and ’79 are invited to attend as well!)

Friday, September 20th

  • Dinner and reception at 6:30 p.m.
    Includes hearty appetizers, free non-alcoholic drinks, your first beer or wine, and additional drinks for purchase (costs $30/person)

Sunday, September 21st

  • QuadFest BBQ  at 11:45 a.m.
    Cost: $15/person, $8/kids 8 and younger, and free for kids 2 and younger
  • Happy Hour at 4:30 p.m.
    Includes appetizers, free non-alcoholic drinks, your first beer or wine, and additional drinks for purchase (costs $10/person)

You won't want to miss it!

Registration Details

Your registration packet will be mailed to you in July, so be on the lookout! Those can be returned to Willamette University, 900 State St., Salem, OR 97301. You may also register online starting July 1. If you register by August 31st, you will get a 10% discount!

The Willamette Archive, part of the Hatfield Library, unveiled a new website last year containing recorded Glee songs from many years across the last century.

  • Karol Cardinal Wojtyla of Poland becomes Pope John Paul II (Oct. 16).
  • Three Albuquerque, NM, men, Ben Abruzzo, Larry Newman, and Maxie Anderson, make the first successful transatlantic balloon flight in the helium-filled Double Eagle II.
  • Balloon angioplasty is developed to treat coronary artery disease.
