GSE faculty members begin colloquium program for MAT candidates
A new end-of-semester faculty colloquium allows professors from the GSE's MAT program to share their current inquiry efforts shoulder-to-shoulder with MAT candidates. The goal of the program, whose inaugural sessions took place in May, is to allow the candidates a view into faculty scholarship and priorities, while also helping them reckon with their own.
Colloquium topics included "How the Arts Manifest the Process of Learning," "Alternative Methods of Looking at Writing and Writers," "Web 2.0 and Dynamic Teaching," "Learning History and Racism Through a Family and Community Inquiry," and "The Pedagogy of Silence."
Attendees participated in several rounds of talks, after which they were required to provide reactions and feedback.Visit the GSE homepage to learn more
