Teacher Research Topic
Throughout my student teaching experience I am looking at the ways that implementing literacy development techniques and strategies into the Social Studies classroom affects student content area comprehension. Through my SIOP instruction I learned many methods of literacy development for English Language Learning students. However, I think these strategies can become effective learning techniques for any student and should be used throughout content area instruction.
