Master of Arts in Teaching Programs

MATStudents earn their teaching license and master’s degree in our MAT program. With different formats available - full-time (10-month), extended (18-month) or online extended (18-month) - the MAT degree program prepares pre-school through high school teachers. In most cases, students will qualify for two teaching levels upon completion of either program.

  • K-8 authorization: early childhood, elementary and middle school
  • Secondary authorization: middle and high school

The Graduate School of Education will discontinue offering degree, licensing and endorsement programs at the end of the 2013-14 academic year.
