Volunteer
Volunteers play an essential role in sustaining Willamette Academy’s mission. There are many ways to partner with the Academy, almost guaranteeing a match with your skills; below are just a few ways that you can join us in making a difference!
Tutor
- Work individually or in small groups with students
- Help students improve their knowledge and proficiency
- Paired with students that best match tutor’s ability and student needs
Workshop Leader
- Work with administrative staff to plan and facilitate workshops for students
- Content may vary according to volunteer’s individual passions and strengths
Administrative
- Work with a diverse array of people including students, families, community representatives, school officials
- Perform office tasks; filing, data entry, mailings, reports, communications
- Provide general support for Academy staff
- See and learn about the inner workings of an educational non-profit
Special Events
- Provide logistical support for Academy-sponsored events
- Often one-time occasions, resulting in limited time commitment
