Holiday Gifts Donated to Students and their Families

This past holiday season, organizations from around the area came together to support Willamette Academy families during the holidays. The Academy is fully funded by grants and donations from the community in order to provide academic assistance to students; however, many of the students and their families are in need of additional support. Over half of the families of Willamette Academy students earn less than $25,000 a year, with almost 60% living below the poverty line. The Salem community recognized this need and provided families with things they would not otherwise have been able to afford. The families received food, gift baskets, and toys, as well as other gifts. These generous donations helped make the holidays extra special for the thankful students and their families.
