We respect and protect the information you share with us via the Willamette University Office of Admission web site. Information provided by you is used in one or more of the following ways:

Although we might publish aggregate information concerning our web site and its users, we do not disclose any personal information collected from you except as appropriate to departments within the university or contractors/companies employed by the Office of Admission.
Willamette University adheres to all applicable provisions of FERPA, the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. FERPA will also protect your privacy and govern how we use personal information about you once you become an enrolled student.
Willamette employs industry-standard security measures to protect the personal information you provide to us, although it does not guarantee absolute protection from the kinds of activities that are broadly defined as "hacking." If our system were to be "hacked" and security of private information is compromised, we would repair the breach, pursue the trespasser to the fullest extent of the law and notify you of any violation of your privacy.
