Peer Advisor: You’ll be assigned a second year student who is trained to coach you through the Career GPS. You’ll meet them on Tuesday, August 13. They are the Graduate Assistants for Career Mgt.Watch for their email introduction and set up a meeting one-on-one with them during the first 2 weeks of school.
Mentorship Program: Information Session – Wednesday, August 28. Deadline for applications is July 29th. Matching will happen during August and September culminating in our Mentorship Program Kickoff on September 18th at 5:30pm. Mentors are successful professionals at various stages of their careers who are assigned one-on-one with students to help with your professional goals. Career Class – is a module of the PaCE class (GSM5108), where we’ll help you prepare for your internship search. Career Module of PaCE Information
Career GPS is the online self-paced manual that accompanies the Career Module of PaCE. You can start early as deadlines for class come early. Career GPS Manual Online Version
Career Events – The first event (and biggest event of the fall term) is September 6th. It’s a Career Close-up event where you can meet employers in a more casual setting than a career fair. Career Events information.
MBA Focus Job Board - You'll receive a link and an invitation to set up an account during compass week. Follow the link, set up an account. Its from here that you can schedule appointments and RSVP for Events. Login to MBA Focus.
National Career Fairs – September 19 - 21st is the National Asian MBA conference in New York. There are several others which are great opportunities to meet Fortune 500 employers if you’re open to relocating. List of National Career Fairs.

Career Management & Coaching Certificate Program – This is a series of all day Friday sessions throughout the fall and spring term which are sponsored by our Executive Development Center and open to Career Change students. Career Management and Coaching Certificate Information
Career Class Deadlines:
- Mock Interview Packet - Due October 21. This is your final draft of your customized cover letter and resume for a particular mock internship. The internship you choose to apply for is the one that you will interview for on the mock interview day - November 15 and do your phone interview for the first 2 weeks of November.
- Career Action Plan (CAP) - Due November 4. This is the fnal draft of your Career Action Plan for fall/spring semester. In it will be the culmination of all the work you've been doing on your Career GPS. You should have your PCA review your Career Action Plan way before November 4.
