Willamette's Early Career MBA internship program offers the opportunity
to explore career goals and enhance professional experience.
Students seeking an internship for the summer of 2007 did well, with more
than 94% accepting an internship offer.
Internship employers included: Hewlett Packard Company, HSBC, Mercy Corps
Northwest, Meyer Memorial Trust, Nautilus, Salem Art Association, U.S.
Export Assistance Center, Saber Corporation, Bonneville Power Administration,
Coaxis, McElroy Risk Advisers, U.S. Bank, United Way, Rubicon International,
Pioneer Pump, Naito Corporation, State of Oregon, and more.
Internship projects involved a variety of functions including business
development, supply chain management, human resources, project management,
investments, ecommerce, accounting, strategic finance, marketing, data
analysis, information technology, etc. Ninety-two percent of internships
were paid internships. Salaries averaged $565 per week. Hourly wage averaged
$14 per hour and ranged from $8 to $27.25 per hour.
