When can I apply for admission?

You are encouraged to complete the MBA for Professionals application process as soon as possible. Class size is limited and admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. All required application materials must be received by the PMBA office prior to the posted deadline.

How do I apply?

We encourage you to apply online - however, you may print the application and submit it as a hard copy. A $50 dollar non-refundable application fee must accompany your completed hardcopy application form. The application fee for online application submission is waived. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Willamette University.

What is the application deadline?

Admission to Willamette University's MBA for Professionals program is selective. Admission evaluation is based upon the application materials submitted. Materials may be submitted all together or piece-by-piece.

To be considered for admission, all required application materials must be received by the MBA for Professionals office prior to the August 1 or December 1 deadlines. Class sizes are limited and admission is granted on a rolling basis so it is to your advantage to submit your application as early as possible.

What are the admission requirements?

To be considered for admission, you must have a minimum of an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or College,
3 years professional level work experience and submit the required completed application materials.

Application materials include: Willamette's MBA for Professionals Application with Essays, Application Signature Form, Employer Notification Form, a copy of your most current professional resume, 2 confidential letters of recommendation, official GMAT Score Report, and all College/University official transcripts.

What factors are considered in evaluating my application for admission?

Factors considered during the evaluation include, but are not limited to, previous and current professional experience, commitment to attain a graduate management education, professional or personal achievements and academic performance.

How can I obtain additional copies of my GMAT scores?

If you did not select the Willamette University's MBA for Professionals program on test day you may order additional score reports online, by phone, fax and direct mail. An official score on the Graduate Management Admission Test® (GMAT®), taken within the last five years is required. The GMAT code for the Willamette University MBA for Professionals is 3MZ-PZ-34.

Are photocopies or electronically submitted undergraduate transcripts accepted?

Official College and University transcripts listing your degree and any coursework/credits applied to your degree completion are required.
Willamette University does not currently accept transcripts electronically.

What are the academic and professional experience requirements?

To be considered for admission, you must have a minimum of an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or College,
3 years professional level work experience. The Willamette MBA for Professionals curriculum is designed to develop the ability of the experienced professional to manage across functions and across sectors.


How long after I apply will the Admission Committee make its decision?

Admission decisions are made following receipt of your complete application file generally within 2 to 4 weeks.


Will my course credits from another university or college MBA program be accepted?

Transfer credits from AACSB accredited MBA programs are considered and evaluated as part of the admission process. Contact us at pmba@willamette.edu to arrange an MBA transcript review.
