1. General Information

When is Alumni Weekend 2017?

The weekend is set for September 15-17.

Who is invited?

All alumni – from every school, every class year, degree or non-degree – are invited. This is a celebration of all things Willamette with something for everyone.

What's new this year?

We are delighted to celebrate Alumni Weekend 2017 as part of Willamette's 175th anniversary and the 150th birthday of Waller Hall. Become a "student for a day" or take a VIP Willamette Valley wine tour. Enjoy a Homecoming tailgateBBQ and football game. Stay late on Saturday for the Saturday Night Experience, including the all-class reception, class reunion dinners (for those celebrating a reunion year), and the Winning Hand Casino Celebration and Dance. Relive the glory days through an excellent slate of programming!

Can I just show up on campus for Alumni Weekend?

We strongly encourage you to pre-register and avoid the additional $30 fee for late registrations. This will also guarantee your ability to attend as space is limited due to the popularity of the weekend's events.

What hashtag should I use to share the weekend experience?

Use #WUAW17 on all of your social media posts about Alumni Weekend before, during and after.

2. Children & Childcare

Should I bring my child and is there childcare?

There are no activities specifically planned for children and no childcare will be available on campus. Children under 18 must be escorted and supervised at all times by a parent, legal guardian or other authorized adult. It is the responsibility of the parents, legal guardians or other authorized adult to make appropriate off-campus arrangements if children cannot be accompanied at all times while on campus. We strongly encourage parents to consider making this your adult weekend away and bringing children in October for Willamette’s Family Weekend and Homecoming.

3. Registration & Prices

How do I register?

Online registration is open now! You may also register by mail, or by phone.

Is there a registration deadline?

Yes. The original deadline for registering was August 25, 2017. The deadline has been extended to Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Registrations received after September 5 will be assessed an additional $30 registration late fee.

Are drink tickets included in prices?

We have done away with drink tickets. Your price of admission for events serving food and beverages provides you with all you can eat and drink. Responsible consumption is encouraged.

I registered and paid online, but my name is not on the "Look Who’s Coming" list. Why is this?

Your registration may not have been processed yet. Allow 2-3 business days for your name to appear on the list.

4. Changes & Cancellations

Can I change my registration?

Yes! Call the Office of Alumni Engagement at 503-375-5304 and we will assist you.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

Cancellations will be accepted with full refunds, minus a $15 non-refundable cancellation fee, until Sept. 5. No refunds will be offered after Sept. 5.

5. Lodging

Where should I stay?

We’ve reserved blocks of rooms at the Grand Hotel in downtown Salem and at the Best Western Mill Creek Inn. Visit the accommodations page for details.
