Travelers with Willamette's Bearcat Explorers Travel Program now have access to travel insurance through the university! We all know unexpected things can happen while traveling or even before your departure, so make sure you are covered by purchasing a Trip Protection or Travel Medical plan.
The plans offer a variety of coverage, including:
- Trip cancellations or interruptions

- Medical expenses, including emergency medical evacuation
- Delayed, lost or stolen baggage

When is the best time to buy insurance?
For a variety of reasons, it is prudent to purchase travel insurance when you first book your trip. Why? Most travel insurance policies contain one or more time-sensitive provisions that broaden coverage. These provisions apply to several coverage enhancements, such as the Cancel for Any Reason benefit and the pre-existing condition waiver.
