A New Way to Give Back: Career Advising
It’s not particularly difficult, and its benefits are tangible. Being a career advisor is one of the best ways to make an impact on our graduates and other alumni navigating the job market.
Since the launch of The Compass in early March, dozens of alumni have registered to share their experience and expertise as career advisors. Register to be an advisor by telling us about your job experiences and we’ll use what you provide in assisting alumni whose interests or paths match yours. You might be contacted at some point by another alumnus who could use some pointers and benefit from including you in his/her professional network — but remember that the intent of this program is not that career advisors should provide job offers.
If you’re interested in becoming a career advisor, visit the Career Network at The Compass or contact Stacey Lane (firstname.lastname@example.org or 503-370-6748).
