Willamette University, Students at the Mill Stream

April 2009

This weekend, 140 bands will converge on Salem as part of the first-annual Cherry City Music Festival. They'll come from all over the country -- and they'll put Salem on the musical map in a way it has never been before. The event will serve as a great precursor to the 11th-annual Wulapalooza, which happens April 25 on Willamette's campus.

It's spring, and there's a lot to report!

Aside from co-sponsoring the Music Festival, Willamette has generated plenty of news in the last month alone. If you suspect that this edition of WU News is a little early, you're right: We've moved to a monthly delivery to fit more in.

Remember that you can stay connected to Willamette on any day via your favorite social network. Check the alumni relations online media webpage for a listing of helpful social networks -- something to keep an eye on if you're a fan of Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter.

Additionally, The Compass -- up and running for over a month and growing every day -- is your resource for searching the improved directory, submitting class notes, connecting with the Career Network and signing up for events.

We hope you enjoy this edition of WU News. Have a safe and happy spring!
