It’s a Jungle Out There: Fine Arts Festival 2009
On May 9, the School of Education will present its annual Fine Arts Festival, which gives center stage to area school children and offers a chance for all ages to collaborate on a creative work.
This year’s event, produced and directed once again by Robin Wright Fromherz, professor at the School of Education, will feature Dallas School District’s rendering of the classic, The Jungle Book. The play will include performances by students of all ages and class levels on one stage.
The Fine Arts Festival was preceded yesterday by a field trip to Willamette’s campus, where students took a campus tour, made t-shirts and checked out the Hallie Ford Museum of Art.
Teacher Research Symposium Showcases Candidates’ Progress
Every year, the School of Education showcases current MAT candidates by asking them to share their co-curricular experiences in the classroom.
On May 14, candidates will appear before a crowd at the College of Law to talk about the work they’ve done so far and the directions they’re headed as they near the end of their tenure as MAT students.
