The Times, They Are...
Part of the fun of this job is that I get to work constantly with fellow Willamette alumni and try new things. Over the last several months, we've rolled out a series of alumni-related surveys and projects to help us gauge how we're doing as advocates for our alumni and as providers of services that are helpful. I'm happy to say that the feedback has been abundant and encouraging, and we're enjoying the process of making some final tweaks to our programming with this feedback in mind.
You might pick up on some subtle changes here and there (and be sure to read the next issue of The Scene for some tangible ones), but for the purpose of this newsletter, the biggest thing right now is our new Facebook application. Thousands of you have logged on to The Compass to check out the alumni directory, submit class notes, and connect with the Career Network -- now, thanks to technology (isn't it great?), you can do that from the Facebook account you're probably using already.
Enjoy, and I hope you'll stay in touch. 2009 was a year filled with new things and exciting challenges, and we've got more in store.
