Carl Hall Gallery to Reopen at Hallie Ford Museum of Art; Family Workshop Part of Celebration
The Carl Hall Gallery, which houses the Hallie Ford Museum of Art’s collection of historic and modern regional art, is scheduled to re-open tomorrow, Thursday, March 4, after three months of renovations.
To celebrate the re-opening, the museum will present a family activity workshop Saturday, March 6, from noon to 4 p.m. Led by education curator Elizabeth Garrison, the drop-in workshop will feature several hands-on activities related to landscape painting and relief sculpture. Children and their families will work with watercolor and clay to create their own landscapes inspired by the works in the Carl Hall Gallery.
Museum admission and the family workshop will be free and open to the public.
