Zena Farm site of innovative summer farming program
The Sustainable Agriculture Summer Program at Zena Farm is a residential program designed to offer students first-hand experience in working with agriculture in a sustainable environment.
During the program, which runs May 17- June 25, students will learn about the challenges and benefts to establishing a sustainable farming system, get dirty implementing farming techniques such as integrated pest management, and will participate in food preservation workshops (including one on cheese making). The program incorporates two academic courses, hands-on workshops, and valuable field experience.
Participants will also have time for hikes through the property and fireside s'more-making.
