Atkinson Management Today releases spring edition
Atkinson Management Today (AMT) is an electronic journal released twice yearly with content directed at mid-level management who are tasked with interpreting and implementing organizational strategy. The journal is intended as a resource for upwardly mobile managers, offering practical and contemporary articles on the methods, techniques and theory of management.
Students research, write and edit the journal based on their individual career areas of interest. The Spring 2010 edition includes:

Atkinson honored by National Society for Hispanic MBAs, Seattle chapter
AGSM was honored by the National Society of Hispanic MBA's (NSHMBA) Seattle Chapter for outstanding partnership and support of the Seattle Chapter on Dec. 5, 2009. Beth Ursin, director of career management, and several students attended the ceremony to receive the award. AGSM is also assisting local organizations to bring a NSHMBA chapter to Portland.
Brownwater 2010 – the tradition continues
An Atkinson tradition for more than 30 years, Brownwater is a three-day event put on by the Atkinson Student Association that celebrates spring, graduation and the end of the academic year. Alumni are invited to celebrate Brownwater and join in the fun with fellow classmates, faculty, staff and current students.

Atkinson team to participate in the Aspen Institute's 2010 Business & Society International MBA Case Competition
A Willamette MBA team including current students David Lee, Yameen Ali, Angela Wilhelm and Luciana Yoshiyasu will be competing against 25 leading international MBA programs for prizes up to $40,000. Mark Ahn, faculty advisor for the team, noted: "It's exciting see this stellar team represent Willamette University. Their commitment to excellence provides leadership by example for us all."

Limited time remains to register for the Certificate in Business Lawyering
AGSM and the WUCL have developed a Certificate in Business Lawyering (CBL) that includes tools, resources and concepts to increase an attorney's value and productivity. The program covers eight day-long sessions taken together as a certificate or individually. Attorneys in-house at organizations or from law firms are invited to register.
