Willamette Academy to hold "Golden Leaf Event" to support programming
On Oct. 30 at 5:30 p.m., Willamette Academy will hold “The Golden Leaf Event,” a fundraiser that supports college access for underrepresented youth. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at Mission Mill Museum, 131 Mill St. SE.
Tickets cost $50 and include live music from The SlimJims, dinner, dancing and raffle. Raffle items include fishing trips, a Sun Valley getaway and more.
All proceeds support Willamette Academy.
In addition to providing academic programs and support for students in grades 7-12, Willamette Academy also helps families support their child’s education and assists students with the college application and financial aid processes.
“Willamette Academy focuses on preparing students for college by developing critical thinking and leadership skills,” said Michele Gray, director of the program. “Many of our students are the first in their families to attend college.”
