Willamette University, Students at the Mill Stream

April 2011

cherry blossomsYou've seen them before. We've seen them before. But the cherry blossoms have been opening over the last few days, and we have to share.

Many alumni have been concerned for Willamette community members in Japan. There are quite a few Bearcats who study, work or live there, so we were especially gratified to hear initial reports that current TIUA students' families, as well as those studying there this semester, were okay. There are still many others who have been affected, of course, and many on campus have chosen to reach out according to their ability.

Campus, as you might imagine, is at its busiest right now, and many organizations and events are going at full speed. The CLA news section is especially big this month -- be sure to check it out.

Finally, "You're Doing What With Your Degree?" is under two months away! It's not too early to make your plans to visit the Oregon Zoo, network with peers, and be entertained and enlivened by another group of alumni who are applying their liberal arts education creatively. Sign up to join us!
