Alumni Travel News
Final contracts are just being signed for two exciting new international trips in 2012:
Patagonian Frontiers will provide a small group of 24 alumni and friends the opportunity to spend 18 days exploring the majestic beauty of Southern Argentina and Chile in February. Highlights will include Buenos Aires, Cape Horn, Beagle Channel, Torres del Paine, Chile’s Lake District and Santiago.
Angkor Wat & the Mekong: A River Cruise in the Heart of Indochina will be our first tour to Southeast Asia. In October, our group will visit the spectacular temple complex at Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Other highlights of this 16-day trip will include visits to Bangkok, Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), and a fabulous 7-night cruise down the Mekong on the new ship, RV Saigon Pandaw.

Don't forget there's also a new option in the Willamette Travel Program: three days of summer kayaking and camping in the San Juan Islands:
Kayaking in the San Juans
July 29-31, 2011
The "explorer expedition" is fully catered and supplied, so interested alumni need only to sign up and bring some sunscreen. This trip will be conducted in small groups of eight kayakers (one professional guide/cook for each eight people who sign up) up to a maximum of 30 total. No sea kayaking experience is required.
The trip is being conducted by Discovery Sea Kayaks, a company that was selected as a "best travel company on earth" two years in a row by National Geographic Adventure Magazine. Base cost for Willamette participants is $535 per person (including all gear, tents, food and drink, guide services and transportation between the travel company's base in Friday Harbor and the kayaking site), and requires either a 25% non-refundable deposit on registration or full payment for each paddler, with any balance due before the trip starts.
Learn more at the trip webpage and email email@example.com if you have any questions. Registration for this trip is done through Discovery Sea Kayaks' website directly, but we're happy to help along the way.
