Pow wow

'Tis the jobs season. This month we're working on two programs to help alumni young and old navigate what remains a slippery job world. The first is lighthearted but useful: "You're Doing What With Your Degree?" which this year takes place at the Oregon Historical Society courtesy of alumnus Kerry Tymchuk '81, JD'84. Now is a great time to make your nomination!

Second is the Career Network webinar series, which we've covered more completely in a feature.

Remember, too, that the 10th annual Pow wow is on campus this weekend. Consider coming to see why this event keeps getting stronger.

Willamette Academy is getting close to their Believe in Me event, whose proceeds go to important Academy programming and curricula. Be sure to check that out, too.

And finally, if you haven't read the latest issue of The Scene yet, you can do so online. This issue's online-only content includes the full transcript of Professor Kollmann's telling speech to the class of 1951. We're enlisting a group of alumni board volunteers for some online-edition revamping, so the online option will only continue to evolve.
