Willamette University, Students at the Mill Stream

October 2013

squirrelThis year's Alumni Weekend "wow" award goes to the a cappella student singers of Headband, who stunned the 50th reunion class with a remarkable rendition of one of their original Glee songs (with two days' preparation, we hear). Bearcats unite!

Check out the Alumni Weekend photo gallery to see if you can spot your friends.

Also, remember that One Willamette, our national networking event, is approaching this month. Be sure to check whether we're coming to your city and make your plans!

Willamette/Linfield tailgate: Visit Bush Park on Nov. 2 for an extra-festive football party as perennial rival Linfield College visits the Bearcats. The tailgate will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Bush Park amphitheater, with the game following. Local Bearcats: Watch for an email soon with registration details. Go cardinal and gold!

Finally, two reasons to watch your mailbox:

First, The Scene is out and many readers have already received it. Tufton Beamish is hiding in there somewhere...

Second, Liberty Mutual Insurance, with whom Willamette partners to offer alumni benefits, might send you information in December about auto and home insurance savings options. To learn more, visit libertymutual.com/willamette. If you don't wish to receive direct mail from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company that is advertising or promotional in nature, please unsubscribe by emailing alumni@willamette.edu. Be sure to include your name and mailing address so we can update the record for you.

Stay dry out there.
