This $3.4 million project includes several major improvements to the existing field and facility components. The current field is used for practice and games for the men's and women's soccer programs.Additionally, the field is used for intramural and club sports only on a very limited basis. This field cannot withstand the wear and tear of current demand. With no prospect for additional field space, moving to the latest synthetic grass technology is the solution. FieldTurf™ was installed at McCulloch Stadium in summer of 2003 and it has dramatically improved playing and practice conditions. FieldTurf™ has been approved by FIFA for international soccer play and literally thousands of fields across North America and Europe have been installed.
