Football Camps

8 Man Football CAMP — June 28-30, 2012

The Willamette University 8-man Football Camp will focus on both Team and Individual development, with a constant emphasis on Basic Fundamentals and Team Building experiences. The camp format will allow for teams to have scheduled practice sessions and Team Building opportunities during the 3 day session. We strive to provide the most competitive atmosphere and safest environment. Camp Cascade offers five 50 yard grass fields, ideal for practice and competition.

Team Camp

We welcome all high school coaches who want to bring their players entering grades 9 – 12 in the fall of 2010. Each Team will have the opportunity to compete against various teams across the Northwest. We will ONLY offer this camp on a Team basis. Individual sessions will be taught by the coaching staff of Willamette University.

Team Building / Motivational Speakers

Cascade Sports Camps will provide Team Building sessions that will focus on Teamwork, Communication and Trust. Our evening motivational speakers will be from the Professional & College ranks

Controlled 8 Man Scrimmages

Team practice time and “controlled” game opportunities are scheduled as part of both the morning and evening practice sessions. In Team game situations, score is kept and each team receives an equal time of offensive and defensive snaps. As with all camp drills, these games are closely supervised and refereed by the camp staff. There will be a Team Champion determined and awards will be presented at the end of the camp.

Equipment

This is a FULL CONTACT camp, helmets AND pads are required. All camp athletes should bring a complete set of football gear including shoulder pads; helmet; jersey; pant with hip, thigh and knee pads shorts; shoes; socks; athletic supporter; and a mouthpiece. Football equipment is available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis for a $50 fee. (QBs and receivers should bring their own footballs.)

Medical Information

Campers must have their own medical insurance in order to attend this camp. Please fill out the enclosed medical information form completely. Certified athletic trainers are in attendance at every practice and will attend to all injuries. You must have a completed medical card on file before you will be allowed to attend camp.

Location

Camp is held at Camp Cascade in Lyons Oregon. Camp Cascade is located 40 miles east of Salem in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in a woodland setting along the Little North Fork of the Santiam River.

Go East on Hwy 22 for 27 miles. Turn left on North Fork Road, across from the Swiss Village Restaurant, in Mehema. Go 13.3 miles on North Fork Road, over two bridges and beyond Elkhorn Valley Golf Course. Camp Cascade is on the right hand side of the road at 33806 North Fork Rd. Lyons, OR 97358.
