Gordie James Court
The court at Cone Field House is named after retired Willamette men’s basketball Head Coach Gordie James. In 22 seasons at WU, from 1987-88 until 2008-09, James achieved a 357-230 (.608) record, and directed the Bearcats to the 1992-93 NAIA Division II National Championship. He also earned a 340-129 (.725) record in 22 years at the high school
level, giving him a combined record of 697-359 (.660). The refurbished court was dedicated on Nov. 20, 2010.
