Sundlee compiled a 2-0 record and a 2.05 earned run average in February, while pitching for the Bearcats in four of the team’s first nine games. He struck out 17 batters and allowed only five walks in 22.0 innings pitched. He held Willamette’s opponents to a .209 batting average. He recorded the win in Willamette’s season opener, a 9-7 win over Corban College on Feb. 3. He also was victorious after throwing 7 1/3 innings in the Bearcats’ 13-4 win versus California State University-East Bay on Feb. 24. Sundlee threw three scoreless innings to earn the win against Corban and gave up three runs — two earned — against CSU-East Bay. He struck out five batters in 4 2/3 innings against Lewis & Clark College on Feb. 10 and tallied sevens strikeouts against East Bay.

Anderson earned a 4-1 record in singles, as she went 4-0 at #3 singles and lost to Southern Oregon while playing up two positions at #1 singles. Anderson was the only Willamette singles player to record a win in WU’s 7-2 loss to Whitman on Feb. 18. She also achieved a 3-2 record in doubles. One of the losses in doubles was to Whitman’s top team by a 9-7 score. Anderson played well throughout the month and was nominated for Northwest Conference Player of the Week honors on Feb. 26. “She’s really been working hard and is a quiet team leader,” said Willamette head coach Becky Roberts. “She has been performing well in singles and doubles She’s willing to play wherever I put her (in the position lineup) ... and responds to the challenge every time.”
