During the month of September, Dean carried the ball 27 times for 239 yards, an average of 8.9 yards per carry. He scored five touchdowns, including three in Willamette’s 41-35 victory over Menlo College. In the win at Menlo, he rushed 11 times for 168 yards (15.3 yards per carry) and recorded the Bearcats’ first three touchdowns on runs of 34, 21 and 29 yards. Later, he gained 13 of 14 yards in a fourth-quarter drive after a Menlo turnover to set up a field goal to complete the scoring. He was named Northwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week. He was Willamette’s leading rusher during the month and his 30 points led the Bearcats in scoring.
Kari Woody - Soccer

Double Major: Environmental Studies and Political Science
Woody had an outstanding month as Willamette’s starting goalkeeper. She registered six solo shutouts and one shared shutout, while making 31 saves in 785 minutes played. She helped the Bearcats start the season 8-0-1, including 5-0-0 in the Northwest Conference. Woody achieved a 0.22 goals against average and a .939 save percentage during the month. She was chosen Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 18 and Sept. 25, after leading Willamette to a 2-0-1 record the first week, then contributing to two shutouts the second week. The Bearcats were ranked #5 nationally in NCAA Division III in the poll released on Oct. 3.
