SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University Courtside Club will host a free Chalk Talk on Friday, Dec. 7 prior to the men's basketball game between the Bearcats and St. Martin's University (Wash.) at Cone Field House. The Chalk Talk will begin at 6:00 p.m. (PST) in the Honors Classroom inside the Sparks Athletic Center.

The Chalk Talk will feature an informal "Q & A with Kip" involving Head Coach Kip Ioane from the Willamette men's team. Prior to serving as the head coach, Ioane was an assistant under Bearcat Hall of Fame coach Gordie James for eight seasons.

Ioane was also a finalist for the Josten's trophy, given to the NCAA Division III men's basketball player of the year.

The Courtside Club is a group supporting the Willamette men's basketball and women's basketball teams.

Tip-off for Willamette's game with St Martin's is set for 7:00 p.m. (PST).
