Willamette Chosen to Host NCAA Cross Country Regional

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University has been selected to host the 2008 NCAA Division III West Regional in men's and women's cross country. The Bearcats and other West Region teams will compete in the event on Saturday, Nov. 15, at Bush's Pasture Park. WU also hosted the West Regional during the 2005 season.

The Bearcats, who won the men's and women's team titles at the 2007 West Regional, hosted by Lewis & Clark College at McIver State Park in Estacada, Ore., will be out to repeat as regional champions. Willamette's men's cross country team has won six West Regional titles in a row, while the WU women's team has claimed five consecutive West Regional championships.
