Chung Finishes in Tie for Third at Linfield Invitational

Johnson Earns Tie for Fifth

McMINNVILLE, ORE. -- Haylee Chung of Willamette University (Fr., Hilo, HI/Hilo HS) of Willamette University tied for third place at the Linfield Invitational on Sunday, Oct. 10. Linfield golfers Brynn Hurdus and Katie Kilborn shared the title after each carded an 83 at the Michelbook Country Club.

Chung and Linfield's Brittany Johnston recorded scores of 85 to tie for third. Alex Johnson (So., Salem, OR/Blanchet Catholic School) of Willamette, Brinn Hovde of Linfield and Rebecca Langer of Linfield tied for fifth place at 87.

Linfield won the team title with a score of 339, while Willamette placed second with a score of 411. Lewis & Clark College had three golfers who competed during the event, but did not have an additional golfer to qualify for team scoring.

Willamette will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 17 and Sunday, Oct. 18 at the Northwest Conference Fall Classic. The 36-hole event will be played at Heron Lakes Golf Club in Portland, Ore.
