Supporting Bearcat Football

In order to enhance the quality of our student-athlete’s education it is imperative to have a successful program. By seeking athletic excellence, the football program supports the University’s mission of developing tomorrow’s leaders, while maintaining core values of high academic standards and exemplary citizenship.

The student-athletes at Willamette University deserve first-class coaches, travel opportunities, equipment and facilities. We need your help. Our goal is to raise $50,000 in annual contributions to support the Bearcat football program.

Where Will Your Contributions Go?

Your donations will be used solely to support the football program. Our needs include:

Travel expenses: Willamette Football will travel the country to showcase our program and our university. We will be flying to California and Minnesota for the 2007 season.

Equipment: Protective gear and equipment are essential for the safety of our student-athletes. Our goal is to provide our players with state-of-the-art protective gear and field equipment.

Video System: Our digital sports video editing system and computers require annual maintenance and upgrades. This video solution provides a unique teaching tool for our players.

Other expenses: Include meals provided to players during travel and pre-season training camp, part-time coaching staff positions and other football specific needs.

Additional identified projects include renovation and expansion of McCulloch Stadium, to include locker room and meeting space, a weight room and a new video scoreboard.

With your help and generosity we will continue our pursuit of championship performances on and off the field.
