The SCRP program is designed to pair students with a supervising faculty member for nine weeks of collaborative research work during the summer months. For the current year (Summer 2016) students will receive assistance to make full-time dedication to the research experience possible.
Students will receive a $5,500 stipend for nine weeks of work. On-campus housing is possible, but students must make their own arrangements with the Office of Residence Life. Please note: Based on federal and state laws, students will be taxed on the total amount of $5,500, and will also pay fringe benefits.
All faculty participants will have access to funds for supplies, travel, and equipment ($500 per team member).
For a list of the faculty who will be participating in SCRP during 2016, please visit the Faculty Profiles section of the website. Brief summaries of research objectives are provided.
For specific detail about applications, timelines, schedule of payments, etc. please visit the Student Eligibility section of the website.
It must be noted that in addition to completing their duties as a member of the research team, students must make an oral presentation to the campus community September 16, 2016. Students will also make poster presentations at the annual Murdock Undergraduate Research Conference in Vancouver, Washington, November 11-12, 2016.
