How the Program Works

The Shuchat Arts Fellowship Program (SAFP) is designed to give students the freedom to pursue artistic endeavors above and beyond what they experience in the classroom. For the current year (Summer 2018), students will receive assistance to make full-time dedication to the artistic experience possible.

Students will receive a $5,500 stipend for eight weeks of work. On-campus housing is possible, but students must make their own arrangements with the Office of Housing and Conferences (

Note: All Shuchat Fellows will be expected to make a public presentation of their work on campus at the conclusion of the program, and/or during the Fall semester immediately following their fellowship summer.
