About your Admission Counselor
Favorite Things About Willamette:
The community! From the moment you step on campus, you can tell the students really care about each other, and the world around them. But the community doesn't end at the students, as the faculty and staff are just as engaged and caring as the students they serve. Also, I am in love with the Bistro...it's the quintessential "college coffee shop" and with coffee for $1, it really can't be beat.
Favorite Subject in College:
I studied psychology in college, and my favorite class was definitely social psychology. Understanding patters of human behavior has helped me be more conscious member of society and plays into every aspect of this job.
Book You Would Read Again:
Yes Please by Amy Poehler. Mostly because Amy Poehler is my role model for everything in life. The audiobook version of her memoir is honest, wonderful and makes it seem like she is sitting next to you, telling you the stories.
"The most natural thing in the world is complexity. ...The whole world is grey, and if you just appreciate that, then it's beautiful." - Hank Green
Advice About the Admission Process
Breathe through it and try not to stress yourself out too much. Ask questions, and do your research. Don't be afraid to ask for help, and remember that at the end of the day, everything will work out.
