Freud

This course is an introduction to the thought of Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis. You've probably heard of the Oedipal Complex, Freudian slips, libido, or the ego and the id. These are all Freudian ideas. We will examine them as well as Freud's views on the nature of dreams, sexuality, and mental illness through a detailed reading of his Introductory Lectures on Psychoanalysis.
