The Department of Exercise is a relative "newcomer" to the sciences at Willamette. We are working with the University administrators to identify a single space that will accommodate our many and diverse course offerings, research interests, and community outreach opportunities. Meanwhile, our facilities are spread throughout the Willamette campus, as we make the most of the available opportunities. Our students and faculty spend considerable amount of time and energy in each of the these facilities.
The Department of Exercise Science is housed in the second floor of the Lestle J. Sparks Center, where the faculty offices, Currey classroom, and Honors classroom are located. Additionally, the Sparks Center houses the activity courses. [Sparks Center hours]
Built originally as the Salem Post Office in 1903 and moved intact in 1938 to its present location on campus, Gatke Hall now houses the Exercise Science Integrated Laboratory among other University programs.
The F.W. Olin Science Center houses the Departments of Biology and Chemistry. The Human Physiology Laboratory is housed in 104 Olin Science Center.
In addition to other university science programs, Collins Science Center now houses the Human Anatomy Laboratory and the iScience Laboratory, designed for interdisciplinary collaborations among students and faculty.
