Voce Femminile

Directed by Professor Chris Engbretson, Voce Femminile is an ensemble of 35-50 singers performing music written exclusively for treble voices in regular concerts throughout the year. Literature ranges from classic masters (Renaissance and before) through contemporary arrangements.

This year, Voce received the honor of an invitation to sing at the American Choral Director’s Association Northwest Regional Convention in Vancouver, BC. Past projects beyond Voce’s regular concert season include a world premiere of an arrangement of Holst’s The Planets with the Salem Concert Band, performing the opera chorus in Puccini’s Suor Angelica and singing in various public service appearances throughout the region.

Auditions for the ensemble are held annually during the opening weeks of the fall semester.
