Get Funded

Do you want to make a difference in the community? A Lilly Outreach Grant can help!

If you have a group service project in mind, Lilly Outreach Grants (LOGs) are for:

  • Transportation
  • Supplies (like paint, trash bags, kids books, etc.)
  • Copying and publicity
  • Snacks for the group

How do I apply?

Easy! Just print off an application.

What else do I need to do?

  1. Find a place to volunteer.
  2. Submit your completed application to Holli Davenport (UC2) at least 2 weeks before your service project.
  3. Gather 6 or more people to participate.
  4. Submit a post-service evaluation to Holli Davenport no later than one week after the event.

Basic facts about LOGs

  • Any student can apply for up to $250. Greek and residence halls have $500 annually.
  • Projects should be new; previous Lilly-funded projects can be repeated.
  • The goal of a LOG is to connect students with service opportunities and assist them in making meaning from the experience.

What else do I need to know?

  • If youve never done reflection, check out the University of Vermont's Facilitating Reflection Manual.
  • Since the emphasis of a LOG is service and reflection, clubs and Greek organizations may not use this time to advocate for their organization, its mission, or to solicit members.
  • LOG funds may not be used for any illegal activity and the use of drugs or alcohol during a LOG event is strictly prohibited. All University policies apply.
