Willamette University announces a full-time position for Student Services and Budget Coordinator for the College of Law. This position is primarily responsible for budget processes of the academic and administrative departments. This position is also responsible for registration materials, administration of examinations, room scheduling, publicity, printing materials, coordination with the faculty, students and student organizations in regard to use of the building.
This is a full-time, 12-month, classified position and includes full benefits. The minimum salary range begins at $2,333.34 per month, and is commensurate with experience.
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following functions, which are listed in no particular order of significance:
1. Provides assistance based on a thorough knowledge of all academic and administrative policies.
2. Provides accounting services to the College of Law, keeping track of spending and balancing all law school academic and administrative accounts.
3. Assists with preparation and distribution of all registration materials (curricular offerings, academic information, course schedules, etc.) twice a year.
4. Coordinates with the Word Processing Coordinator/Faculty Secretary in the printing and administering of all examinations.
5. Provides administrative guidance and coordination to law student organizations (maintains lists of committee members, officers, etc.). Distributes current lists of student organizations and officers to faculty and staff.
6. Through Scheduler Plus, enters all evening and weekend law activities.
7. Prepares Best Paper Awards, and Certificates of Graduation and Deferments.
8. Administers court certification procedures in compliance with Court Student Appearance Rules.
9. Sets up students and research assistants into the JASON Payroll System.
1. Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. High school diploma or equivalent and two years of college or business school training preferred.
2. Minimum of three years of general office experience required.
3. Excellent skills in English, spelling and punctuation.
4. Experience with bookkeeping and knowledge of budget reports and process.
5. Ability to accurately type 60 wpm.
6. Experience and training on word processing equipment required.
7. Excellent record keeping and file maintenance skills.
8. Ability to coordinate a wide variety of work with independence and good judgement.
9. This position is subject to a criminal conviction record check.
10. Ability to work independently as well as establish and maintain harmonious relations with other staff, faculty and students.
