Interdisciplinary Social Analysis of Complex Global Challenges

Institute Fellowship Opportunities

Willamette University students are selected on a highly competitive basis to participate during the summer as Institute Research Fellows in West Africa.  ISA-CGC fellows will collaborate with Senegalese or Ghanaian Research Fellows to explore Diaspora Development Projects in urban and rural settings.  All participants will reside in homestays near their research sites.  Fellows will actively participate with community members to conduct in-depth interviews with local informants, distribute and collect surveys, observe the functioning of sites, and collaborate with other researchers to develop professional reports based on their findings. Pending administrative approval, research fellows may earn two academic credits for their participation.  Fully-funded positions are available.
