New Student Orientation to Community Outreach
- Aug. 16-21, 2014
- Salem community
- 25 participants
NSOCO is a great way to make connections as you transition into this exciting time in your life! This program provides students with the opportunity to engage in direct service in the Salem community while forming friendships with other incoming students. Caring, fun-loving leaders answer your questions about the first year at Willamette and work to make NSOCO an outstanding experience. A typical day of NSOCO consists of improving the environment, feeding hungry families and reaching out to youth in need. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a ropes course challenge, socialize
through group events, and relax in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The program fee includes all transportation, meals, great accommodations, ropes course, fun surprises and a T-shirt. Join us as we build community with one another and in Salem while living out Willamette University’s motto, Not unto ourselves alone are we born.
"NSOCO was a great way to get to know the Salem community through volunteering with other new students."
