For Transfers and Non-Traditionals

Opening Days is important and fun for all new Willamette students. Most of the scheduled activities are relevant to everyone, including traditional, transfer and nontraditional students. Additionally, we provide programming which is tailored specifically for transfer and nontraditional students.

All new students are given the opportunity to join a traditional Opening Days group and participate in all activities presented during the Opening Days program; however, transfer and non-traditional students are given the option of the One-day Orientation program instead.

This one-day orientation program will include a welcome breakfast, resources tour and advising time. These services are also included in the longer orientation program but, this abbreviated option is tailored for those students who wish to receive only the most basic information. Additional activities for transfer and nontraditional students include a hike at Silver Falls as well as a social in Willamette's Bistro.
