Campus Emergencies
- When notified of a potential threat, all officers respond; other agencies are contacted immediately as required. Academic buildings can be locked down by computer (residence halls are locked 24/7). Students and staff are still able to card into locked buildings for protection.
- When there is a campus emergency, Willamette University will add a message to the Blackboard Connect emergency notification program. Student and staff WU email accounts will be enrolled automatically. Students are required to provide one local phone number, preferably a cell phone number, for enrollment. Additional email and/or phone numbers may be added by selecting "Fusser Guide Update" under the Personal section in Jason.
- When a building must be evacuated, trained Building Captains (wearing yellow/green vests) will respond to assist with the complete and orderly evacuation or other safety action.
