Residence Hall Services

Residential conferences can choose to have linens provided by housekeeping. Linens include a sheet set, pillow with pillow case, one blanket, a towel, washcloth, and soap. The housekeeping staff clean bathrooms, halls, and living areas daily. Clean towels and wash cloths are placed near the showers each morning.

There are no private restroom facilities (except in the University Apartments). All restrooms are single-gendered and appropriately labeled.

All residence halls offer lounge/recreation areas. Some of the residence halls offer kitchenettes, laundry facilities, and/or vending machines (candy, cold drinks, etc.).

Room Information

Room sizes vary by residence hall. Standard single rooms are equipped with a bed, closet, dresser, desk, and chair. Standard double rooms are equipped with two beds, two closets, two dressers, two desks, and two chairs. Bed heights vary by residence halls as well. Beds are categorized as either low, high, or bunk. Low beds are positioned approximately 18 inches from the ground, high beds 42 inches from the ground, and bunk beds 66 inches from the ground.

Some residence halls have a telephone in each room, and most residence hall lobbies are equipped with telephones. A telephone can be installed in the lobby or conference leader's room upon request and availability. There is no charge for campus or local calls. One long distance access code can be provided to the conference upon request. There are two public pay phones located on campus.

What to Bring

The following items may provide additional comfort:

  • Clothes hangers
  • Travel alarm clock
  • Extra blanket (if the weather forecast indicates cool nights)
  • A small fan (if weather is hot)
  • A small desk lamp (most rooms have only a single overhead light fixture)
  • A means of carrying soap, toothbrush, etc., as there are no private restrooms in the residence halls
