Join a growing student movement to raise awareness, raise funds and raise hell to end the global AIDS Pandemic.

We envision a world in which AIDS is no longer a death sentence, in which economics and geography do not determine access to life-sustaining drugs, and where every woman, man, and child has the knowledge, means, and rights to protect her or himself from infection.

“Somewhere in the lives you lead, there has to be time carved out to shout from the rooftops….tell the world and its governments, especially the governments of the west, that an apocalypse has unfolded, and it has to be stopped in its tracks before it engulfs us all.”

The Pacific Northwest cares.

We will not stand by and watch as our human family suffers from the largest pandemic the world has ever known.

This year's inaugural Pacific Northwest World AIDS Summit seeks to confront these issues uniting the region and empowering its citizens to take action. Through our solidarity, we can make a difference.

The event will culminate with a dance to raise money for the development of nine isolated mountain health centers in Lesotho, Africa. This mountainous nation of two million people, located in South Africa, boasts the 3rd highest HIV infection rate in the world. Of those infected, less than a quarter know their status and only 10 percent of those in need of treatment are receiving it. Access of life sustaining drugs is a human right.

It is here that our partner organization, Partners in Health, is working to scale-up testing and treatment of HIV/AIDS in order to create a national model of community-based rural health care.

The funds we raise will support the effort of Partners in Health to deliver desperately needed treatment to the people of Lesotho.
