Justice Ginsburg To Give The Fall 2008 Atkinson Lecture

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will visit campus Friday, Sept. 12, to dedicate the College of Law's Oregon Civic Justice Center and deliver the fall Atkinson Lecture.

Ginsburg will receive an honorary degree at 5 p.m. in Smith Auditorium before she gives the Atkinson Lecture. Tickets are available to Willamette students, faculty and staff starting Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the Information Desk in the University Center. The first ticket is free, and the second is $25; tickets are limited to two per person.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 8, any remaining tickets will be available at the desk to Willamette alumni for $25 per ticket with a limit of two per person.

Smith will open at 4 p.m. for the lecture, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Once Smith is full, ticketed guests will be directed to Hudson Hall for a closed-circuit simulcast.
