2. Cap, Gown, Hood and Tassel
Your regalia will be available at the Willamette Store (under your name) the week prior to graduation. Graduating MBA and BA/MBA students will be charged a graduation fee on their final semester billing as follows: $50 fall 2016 or earlier start term; $75 fall 2017 or later start term. If the student decides not to participate in the Commencement Ceremony, the amount will be refunded after commencement. (JD/MBA students are billed for the graduation fee through the College of Law.)
NOTE: Joint Degree students will wear Law regalia to both ceremonies, switching the hoods for each ceremony. Be sure to pick up both the MBA and Law hoods with your Law regalia. At the conclusion of your ceremony, all graduate/professional school hoods, Law caps, gowns and hoods are to be returned to the Willamette Store. MBA graduates may keep the mortarboard and tassel.
3. Are tickets needed for Commencement?
No tickets are required. The Atkinson Graduate School of Management ceremony will be held on the Willamette University Quad in a covered outdoor seating area with ample seating for your guests.
4. How early can we reserve seats?
Willamette University allows reserved seating one hour prior to any ceremony. Access to the covered seating area will begin at 8:00 a.m. One person must remain with their reserved seats at all times.
5. Where can I get a good photo of my graduate?
During Commencement, we ask that family members do not approach the stage to take pictures. The University has contracted with professional photographers from GradImages to take photos of all graduates. These photos capture the moment graduates shake hands with President Thorsett and receive their diploma, along with portrait shots of the graduates as they exit the stage.
6. Commencement Photos
GradImages will contact you about your proofs after the ceremony through your school email address. You may pre-register to receive discounts on your pictures by clicking on this link: Willamette Photos
To contact GradImages or learn more about their service, please call (800) 261-2576 or visit GradImages.
